Constellation
yesterday received the 2013
Platts Global Energy Award in the “Energy Efficiency -- Energy
Supplier” category for its Efficiency
Made Easy program. Efficiency Made Easy gives Constellation
commercial and industrial customers in competitive electricity markets
the ability to fund energy conservation measures, such as energy
efficient lighting, building automation controls and HVAC upgrades, as
part of their electricity supply bill.

Made Easy customers saved a total estimated 84 million
kilowatt-hours of electricity -- representing an average 21 percent
reduction per customer. During the same period, the energy conservation
measures implemented helped to avoid the release of more than 59,000
metric tons of carbon dioxide, the equivalent of taking 12,292 cars off
the road according to U.S. EPA data.
